An Important Update We've Been Waiting to Share

For months many of you have been asking questions about why this project has taken so long, and we are finally able to give you a proper answer.
Macroverse is in the middle of a federal lawsuit with Adam Fortier, our former Head of Publishing, Ross Richie, the founder and former CEO of BOOM! Studios, Golden Age comics dealer, Harley Yee and others.
Frustratingly, this has directly impacted our ability to deliver on both the Pre-Code Horror and Archie lines of Authentic Editions. While we remain committed to delivering these, timelines remain uncertain while the legal situation is ongoing.
While we obviously cannot discuss details of the lawsuit, Macroverse CEO, Eben Matthews is available to talk with anyone who would like to connect directly. You can book time on his calendar using this link:

Hi Archie Backers,
First and foremost, a belated Happy New Year to all of you. We hope 2026 is treating you well so far and that you’ve had a great January as we head into February.
We wanted to check in and let you know that we’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes to pull together the updates you’ve been asking for - specifically around delivery and fulfillment dates and progress.
We’re actively working through a clear path to ensure that each of these books receives the care, attention, and quality they deserve before making their way into your hands. We're close to being able to share what that is.
The key thing to know right now:

We’ll be sharing a larger, more detailed announcement that finally lays out our progress on fulfillment, along with as much clarity as we’re able to provide at that point. We’ll also be sharing more context of what the future of Archie Authentic Editions looks like - and we believe it’s a bright one.

Happy Holidays Archie Backers 🎉 Looking Ahead to 2026

Hi Archie Backers,
We wanted to take a moment to wish every one of you a very happy holidays and a happy new year. Your support of the Archie Authentic Editions collection has meant more to us than we can properly express, and we’re incredibly grateful for your extreme patience as this journey has unfolded.
It has been quite a road over the course of 2025, and we’re very happy to say that we’re finally in a position to turn much more of our attention to Archie as we head into 2026. As many of you know from recent updates, getting the Pre-Code Horror Authentic Editions collection fully out the door was a necessary step to clear the path forward. The core Frightening 15 sets have now all been delivered to Pre-Code Horror backers, and we’re wrapping up the final stages of that project. That work has officially cleared the decks for everything Archie-related and what comes next.
We know this update is short on specifics, but we wanted to check in before the end of the year and let you know that things are moving forward. We expect to be able to share a more detailed and realistic Archie schedule in mid to late January. Behind the scenes, wheels are turning, progress is being made, and there is a genuine light at the end of the tunnel you’ve all been so patiently waiting for.
Thank you again for your support, your understanding, and your faith in this project. We’re incredibly excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share more with you in the new year.

A Small Overdue Update & A Huge Thank You!

Hi everyone,
First and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving and an enormous thank you from all of us at Macroverse. Your support, your enthusiasm for Archie, and your unbelievable patience mean the world to us. We know it has been a long, long, long time since the last update here, and we appreciate that many of you have stayed supportive even while we have been quiet and slowly but surely working to deliver this project.
The reason for that silence has been simple, even if it has not been ideal: we have been fully focused on finishing and fulfilling the Pre-Code Horror Authentic Editions project. That campaign has thrown every possible challenge at us on the production and logistics side, and we have been working through each of those issues one by one so that everything that follows, including Archie, can move much more smoothly.
🧡 The good news:
We have made real progress on all fronts.
We are now close to completing a major milestone on Pre-Code Horror, finally getting the core “Frightening 15” sets out the door and into the hands of backers.
As those sets ship, the bottleneck that has been holding everything up begins to clear.
Every lesson learned and every problem solved on Pre-Code Horror directly benefits Archie. It is what allows us to finally see a more concrete path to getting the Archie Authentic Editions printed and fulfilled the way they deserve.
We are not quite ready to publish specific dates today, but for the first time in a long time, we can say with confidence that there is a much clearer path forward. Over the next 3-4 weeks, we expect to be able to share a more detailed and realistic timeline for Archie production and delivery. When we have that, you will get it.
In the meantime, please know this:
We have not forgotten about you. We have not lost interest in Archie. We are absolutely committed to delivering these books at the standard of quality you backed us for.
Thank you again for your support, your faith, and your seemingly endless patience as we fight our way through these first Authentic Editions campaigns. We truly believe that, when you are finally holding these books in your hands, it will have been worth the wait.
